- Once connected, the status will display as Connected under your bank accounts.
Note: In some cases, you may be asked to confirm your account and routing numbers for additional security.
Manual Verification via Test Transactions
If you prefer not to use Plaid, you can manually add and verify your bank account.
- Provide Account Details: Enter your account and routing numbers.
- Receive Test Deposits: Gusto will send two small deposits to your bank account within 2–3 business days.
How to Confirm Test Deposits:
- Log In to your Gusto account.
- Go to the Settings section.
- At the top, toggle to the Plan & billing tab.
- Under “Bank accounts”, find the bank you need to verify.
- From the “Status” column, click Confirm test transactions to enter the two test deposit amounts sent.
Important Considerations:
- Time Delay: This method takes a few business days and requires additional steps before your account is ready to use.
- Potential Risks: Without real-time verification, there's an increased risk of transaction failures due to issues like insufficient funds or bank blocks.
- Possible Fees: Failed transactions may result in fees and could impact your transaction processing times.
